| Objectives | The Discharger owns and operates a municipal wastewater treatment plant. The existing treatment system consists of the headworks, primary clarification, a trickling filter, secondary clarification, disinfection and dechlorination, and sludge digesters. Treated wastewater is normally discharged to land using a series of seven percolation/evaporation ponds that lie within the Feather River flooplain. The pond berms have been overtopped during high river stages and the wastewater from the ponds has been discharged to the Feather River. |
